Eating Disorders - Diagnosis and Assessment

Details Introductory training to eating disorders assessment and treatment are offered through the mental health clusters, with the aim of building skills and confidence of mental health clinicians. The aim of this one day module is to familiarise mental health professionals with the diagnosis and assessment of eating disorders. The content of this training is specifically tailored for mental health professionals who wish to increase or refresh their knowledge and skills of the eating disorders field. Learning Objectives: • increased understanding of eating disorders diagnosis and diagnostic issues, epidemiology and causal factors • Increased ability to undertake comprehensive assessment of eating disorders • Increased familiarity with commonly used assessment tools, eating disorder formulation, best practice recommendations; and • Increased understanding of case management in eating disorders. •
