Workshop Details     Workshop ASIST Suicide Intervention Training Details ASIST moves beyond suicide awareness to help participants develop practical knowledge and skills in how to recognise and respond to a person at risk and link them to further help. A simple three step model is described, following which video vignettes are discussed. Evidence-based risk factors are examined in turn and each risk factor is addressed with a “safe plan” response. Day 2 comprises involvement in role plays and concludes with each participant participating in a suicide intervention. The Living Works ASIST suicide intervention model is one of the most widely used suicide intervention training programs in the world.
