Leadership and Management in Mental Health

Details Highly developed leadership skills form the foundation of a satisfying professional career. This workshop will provide detailed knowledge and practical skills in leadership of yourself and others. The workshop will also consider the relationship between leadership, management and an understanding of the dynamics of organisational life. This workshop has been tailored to meet the needs of health professionals who are seeking to develop their leadership skills at all levels of experience. The workshop also provides an understanding or strategic planning, dealing with challenging relationships utilizing emotional intelligence in the leadership role. At the end of this workshop participants will have: • Increased knowledge about key concepts of leadership and management • Practical skills in self leadership and professional resilience • Increased knowledge of how to use role modelling together with skills in managing up and down in the hierarchical system to positively impact on organisational functioning • Familiarity with a simple model for strategic planning and leadership visioning, that can be used for building teams, motivation and dealing with challenges • Practical skills and approaches for bringing out the best in others and building your leadership toolkit
